Construction Timeline – Final Update Until Completion

At this point the city has asked that we discontinue this timeline for safety concerns, as this is a live construction site and members of the Parkersburg Skate Plaza Foundation are not insured if something bizarre happens while we are on site. So, unfortunately, from now on if you want to see what is new you will have to visit the site yourself and from behind the fence.

Parkersburg High School Skate Club

The word on the monkey bars is PHS has a “skate club.” Wes Florence put this edit together from their last few sessions and wants to hopefully put together an edit every week until winter sets in.

Short Road Trip To The Dayton Plaza

Parkersburg Skate Spots

Eric Cunningham and I were talking about what the dimensions of the stairs at the park should be the other day, so I decided to investigate the stairs at a few of the rails around town to see exactly how long and tall they were. They were all right around 1 foot long and 6 inches tall.
The “Peach Rails” set would be my choice, it is almost dead on 1×6. We call them the Peach Rails because the building use to be painted a pale peach color.
