Do You Want To Be Interviewed?

After our monthly meeting next Tuesday, November 10th, 7:30pm at the city building we will be filming interviews for a short promotional video to be presented at this year’s Annual Wood County Development Authority meeting. So if you would like to be interviewed and have something positive to say about this project make sure you are there.

We also would like to announce our next CiCi’s Pizza benefit night will be November 17th from 5:00-8:00pm. The restaurant donates a percentage of every receipt customers drop off in our box, but if …

Magical Night of Giving

We’ve added a new item to our list of fund raisers, this time, selling tickets to the Grand Central Mall’s yearly, “Magical Night of Giving.” They are $5 a piece and all ticket sale proceeds go directly to the non-profit group you bought the ticket from, so make sure you buy them from us. Skate Comp & Concert Re-Scheduled

I just got word from Roy Collins that we are going to try this event one more time, Saturday, October 10th and plan on a rain date of Sunday the 11th. We are currently trying to re-schedule the bands and we will let you know who is going to be there as soon as we can. Other than that, it should all be the same info as before, so help us spread the word because we’ve only got one week!

Concert Poster’s

We recently had 50 posters printed out to promote the skate competition and concert this weekend. The print company screwed up our order and we got a stack of awkward 9.5×14.25″ prints, but they still look pretty fresh, so, what ever I guess. Also, if you would like to print out some copies yourself, you can save the file linked below. They should fit pretty close to regular size printer paper. Parkersburg Homecoming

The foundation will be setup at the homecoming all weekend long, we will be skating in the parade tomorrow, and tonight alone we were able to get just about 3 pages of signatures, mostly from people who don’t skate themselves, that still believed a skate park is a necessary facility for Parkersburg.

First Annual Inkfest

“Ashen 18 tattoos will be hosting Parkersburg’s first annual Inkfest on Saturday, August 15th, from 12:00-10:00pm at the shop on Avery Street across from the new BB&T building. Featuring tattoo contests, Omega Ramps skate sessions, ride-in bike show, coloring contests for kids/ temporary tattoos/ face painting, live music, lots of stuff going on…lots of fun. There will be a 50/50 drawing with the proceeds going to benefit the Parkersburg Skate Plaza. Open to the public, not an event that you’ll want to miss out on.”
