Construction Timeline – Final Update Until Completion

At this point the city has asked that we discontinue this timeline for safety concerns, as this is a live construction site and members of the Parkersburg Skate Plaza Foundation are not insured if something bizarre happens while we are on site. So, unfortunately, from now on if you want to see what is new you will have to visit the site yourself and from behind the fence.

Tie Dye Shirts Update

The wait is over, the tie dye shirts are finally ready for sale. Since we are so small and Parkersburg is so small, we are still selling them old school out the back of our cars, so if you want one just leave a comment here, message us on Facebook, or email us at info@parkesburgskateplaza.org and we will meet you somewhere and you can pick out the shirt that you like. The tie dye shirts are $20 each, we also did small runs of plain white shirts with solid black logos, and plain black shirts with solid white logos that are just $10 each.

Final Drafts of The Skate Park

We have finally narrowed down the final designs of the skate park. Though the original plans were to build a plaza, we received feedback from skaters looking for transitions as well, and being a heavy street scene in the bible belt of bowl skating didn’t help either. All in all we still feel it is a pretty well rounded design that should provide a little bit for everyone.

If you didn’t come to the event yesterday you really missed out. We want to thank all the bands, Matt James & The Progress Notes for coming out the second year in a row, Marc Noland (he told me the new name of his band yesterday but I’ve already forgot), Living On Stolen TIme, and Revulvas.
