This Friday, Downtown Development Task Force committee member Chad Mildren will be presenting this short promotional/informational video during the annual Wood County Development Authority meeting. Hopefully we will be able to persuade some people in our favor with it.
This past Sunday I was able to get a grip of filming done for our upcoming promotional video at Marietta’s brand new bowl. One skater in particular was pulling clip after clip, so I decided to throw together this quick edit of of Dan Fluharty shredding the new park.
I just wanted to let everyone know that we have been able to bring in a little bit more money through our last few fund raisers, never at the increasing rate we would like, but steady non the less. From our CiCi’s Pizza benefit night last month we brought in $96.27, selling Magical Night of Giving tickets for the Grand Central Mall we were able to bring in $85, and from our CiCis benefit night Tuesday, I haven’t received the final number yet from Katie, but it was just under $90. Thank you as always to everyone who has been able to help out!
I just wanted to thank everyone who came down tonight to attend our monthly meeting and stuck around to be interviewed. Aaron Reynolds of Marietta was even able to make it down to share some of his experiences with the Marietta skate park and the positive effects it has had on the community. (Note: The image below is just a screen shot of one of the interview video clips, clicking the image will not play anything, the actually video will be finished and uploaded sometime in the beginning of December.)
This Sunday some of us from Parkersburg will be skating at the new Marietta Park to continue filming for this promotional piece. So if you have something to say or a few righteous tricks you would like to get on film you should come join us.
After our monthly meeting next Tuesday, November 10th, 7:30pm at the city building we will be filming interviews for a short promotional video to be presented at this year’s Annual Wood County Development Authority meeting. So if you would like to be interviewed and have something positive to say about this project make sure you are there.
We also would like to announce our next CiCi’s Pizza benefit night will be November 17th from 5:00-8:00pm. The restaurant donates a percentage of every receipt customers drop off in our box, but if we have a lot of friendly volunteers like you, we are really able to bring in a lot of money through tips.
I appoligize for the delay, but here is the edit of our recent skate competition and concert at Corning Park. Hope you like it!
November, 10th at 7:30 PM in the City Building as always. Hope to see you there!
